Happy Birthday Max!!!!

Today (Friday, February 22) is Max's Birthday! He is turning 3 years old. We wish we could spend this special day with him, but we know that if he couldn't be with us, he's in the next best place. As you can see, he is having a very happy birthday! What a blessing that we get pictures of him so often, so that we can share just a bit, what he is enjoying. I am so excited about all those special days that we will celebrate with him once we get to bring him home. He will be receiving tons of presents in about a week-a little late, but they will be hand delivered by someone special!!!

Please take some time to pray for Max today, on the day that we celebrate the fact that God created him.
*Please pray for his little heart as others try to prepare him for us, his forever family.
*Pray for him to understand what is taking place, and the changes that will occur.
*Please pray for his health.
*Please pray for all of the paperwork that is in process right now-we are very close to being ready to send our dossier to China.
*Please pray for the extra finances that we will have to have. We have decided to take the girls with us to China for numerous reasons....This will add quite a bit of cost to our trip, but we decided that it is the right decision, and well worth it.

Thank you everyone!!!

Late Christmas

With our pre-approval, we received the right to send packages to Max. Our first one finally arrived 3 weeks after we sent it. We were relieved that it got there since I had neglected to put the address in Chinese-thank goodness! We woke up Monday morning to see the following pictures of Max opening up the package we sent him. Looking at the pictures was like watching the girls opening their Christmas presents. What a gift it was to us to see him holding things that we had sent him, that we had touched, that we had put together to express our love for him. It was so special. We are so privileged to have received the pictures-it's not common to get that much information and contact. We know what an extra blessing it is.

So enjoy a few pictures of our son. Isn't his smile amazing?

As you can see, we are already getting him ready to enter a house that LOVES chocolate. He is going to fit right in! That's how I look when I eat a Kit-Kat.

If you look carefully, you can see that there are pictures of us sitting on his lap. Of course he's laughing as he looks at pictures of his silly mommy and his crazy daddy. :-)
